American Club, The Established in September 1948, The American Club is located at Scotts Road. It has expanded beyond the original building with its Scotts Road frontage to a much larger presence with rear access from Claymore Hill. The club is one of several community organizations under the umbrella of the American Association of Singapore, set up in 1917, and it houses the offices of the other bodies under the association. The club provides social and community service activities, and its membership in 2005 included some 60 nationalities.
