Toto and 4D Legal lotteries which are operated by Singapore Pools. For Toto, a player picks at least six numbers from 1 to 45, and matches them against the winning numbers which are drawn. Seven numbers will be announced, and if the player has at least four matching numbers, he wins a prize. With QuickPick, the computer selects the Toto numbers on the player’s behalf; System Bets are variations of Toto. In November 1998, a single Toto player won the jackpot of $5.6 million— a rare occasion when a large jackpot was not shared. The largest offered to date was $12.8 million in the Chinese New Year ‘Toto Hongbao Draw’ in February 2002.
In 4D (4- Digit Numbers), a player selects a four- digit number from 0000 to 9999. If it corresponds with any of the 23 four- digit numbers drawn, he wins a prize. There are five ways to play 4D— Ordinary Entry, 4D Roll, System Entry, iBet and QuickPick, as well as ‘big’ and ‘small’ bets. The minimum bid amount is $1.
